My City is Burning

Forest Fires raging all over. We are looking at the news . Most of the northern part of the city has been evacuated .
Relevant but interesting tidbit ..most of my colleagues with families live far up north in their own houses . Some of the Houses have been burnt already . But all of them have had to evacuate as the fire spreads.
Us, the unhinged ones , live around the periphery of work in cheap rented apartments . We are waiting till they ask us to evacuate.

So what would you take if you had
a) 5 mins to evacuate
b) 30 mins to evacuate

You would never have more time than that to evacuate... classic case of denial ..

I can put in everything I have, in my car . So the question practically doesn't make much sense.
Really , I don't have much . If i had to run out with one thing .... it would be my Laptop .
And of course ideally , I should be running out with my passport and all the other papers ... but it did not come to my mind when the question first popped up .

I don't know . Should I be sad or should I be happy ? I have so little to hold on to ?
Or perhaps, there is so little I want to hold on to ?
